(Sur)Viving with multiple genetic diseases at risk and other physical and cognitive disabilities taught me one thing: in the current system, you are your own coordinating physician. No one asked you to. No one prepared you for it.
Although the son of parents in healthcare professions with privileged access to professionals, I experienced the wandering between specialists who didn't talk to each other, between practices that ignored each other. I lived the fatigue of explaining everything, again and again. The anxiety of wondering if anyone, anywhere, truly saw the whole picture.
Today, I'm building the companion I wish I'd had. For me — but especially for you, for your loved ones, for all those who deserve better than a system in silos.
And because my own health circumstances require it, I'm building ARCHIPEL Foundation with others so that it survives me. So that it becomes a lasting institution, serving the greatest number.
